In order to facilitate technological and industrial advancements in the Guangdong- Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA); leverage the comprehensive advantages of the GBA; integrate expert resources in the political, industrial, academic, research, and application sectors in global bay areas; build a platform for collaborations and exchanges among technological enterprises in the GBA; and strive for common endeavor of the new generation in the global bay areas, BAIDA was established in Hong Kong under the guidance of various departments of the Guangdong Provincial Government. In addition, its aim is to be highly international and professional, promote collaboration and development of the information technology industry within the GBA and internationally. BAIDA focuses on the directions of the "Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong- Hong Kong- Macao Greater Bay Area" and promotes innovation, encourages effective applications within the industry, strategically develops different industries based on their unique characteristics, attracts investments for potential projects, encourages international talent mobility, supports incubations and accelerations, and strives for various technological opportunities, coordinates opinions and ideas from all different levels, and facilitates successful implementation of projects, with the ultimate goals to effectively apply science and technology, improve productivity, and build the society.
1. Promote communication between politics, industry, learning and practice
As a bridge between various industries and local governments. To provide substantive support and support for members to develop, land and strive for support and policies in various places.
2. Promote project development and industrial development
To develop the development opportunities of the Greater Bay area, Belt and Road Initiative and the countries where the members are located. Including but not limited to various industrial and technological development projects, such as the construction of industrial parks, industrial transfer and incubation, technological research and development and applications; and to promote the international flow of products, services and talents, so that local members can expand domestic and global investment, corporate business and personal development space.
3. Promote the cultivation and exchange of international talents
To promote the cultivation of different technical and professional talents according to the needs of various places. Work with the government, educational institutions and industries to develop different courses and establish industrial standards according to their needs, so as to fundamentally create favorable conditions and environment for the long-term development of various industries both domestically and internationally.
4. Promote the application of science and technology and improve its efficiency
To provide technology and techniques and industry iterative update solutions to enable small and medium-sized enterprises in different industries to enjoy technology, such as big data, automation, etc., to improve decision-making power and productivity.
